Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Arizona is seeking a paraeducator to assist under the supervision of certified teachers and specialists, supporting students with disabilities in implementing IEPs, and aiding with academic, daily living, and health care activities.

Duties include delivering classroom work under direction, preparing materials, collecting data on goals, implementing behavior plans, assisting with personal care needs, supervising transitions, and maintaining a safe, respectful learning

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credits OR ParaPro Test.
• Experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, under teacher direction, classroom work and reinforce objectives.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining classroom.
• Collect data on academic and behavior goals as instructed.
• Support behavior intervention plans for students with challenging behaviors.
• Aid in personal care needs where required and supervise transitions.
• Maintain safe and positive learning environments.
