Job summary

Dysart Unified School District seeks a paraeducator to assist the Special Education Teacher with implementing Specialized Programs and Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students with disabilities, and to support those students in the general education curriculum on a continuum of services.

The position supports daily living activities, prepares instructional materials, maintains records, and follows district procedures while safeguarding FERPA confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree or 60 college credits or approved Dysart exam.
• First Aid/CPR certification (must be in person).
• Arizona Identity Verified Prints (AZ IVP FPCC) clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education Teacher with IEP implementation and specialized programs.
• Support students with disabilities in the general education curriculum.
• Follow lesson plans and maintain confidentiality under FERPA.
• Prepare instructional materials and maintain student records.
• Attend district professional development and participate in Medicaid reimbursement activities.
• Assist students with activities of daily living and mobility as needed.
