Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a part-time paraeducator to assist under the supervision of certified teachers and specialists in monitoring and instructing students with IEPs. You will help with academic tasks, daily living activities, and health care activities while supporting classroom operations.

Responsibilities include data collection, behavior support, and collaboration with staff to implement behavior plans. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credit hours required at time of hire OR pass the ParaPro Test provided by the district free of charge
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver, under teacher’s direction, classroom work/homework and reinforce objectives
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining the classroom
• Assist in data collection on academic and behavior goals as instructed
• Support students with personal care needs to promote daily living activities and skills
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment and assist with clerical tasks as needed
