Job summary

Dysart Unified School District in Arizona is seeking a Paraprofessional who will assist the Special Education Teacher with the implementation of Specialized Programs and IEPs, supporting students with various disabilities within the continuum of services.

You will collaborate with staff, follow lesson plans, maintain confidentiality under FERPA, and help prepare instructional materials. This on-site role requires ongoing professional development and active engagement with students and families.

Qualifications

• Assists the Special Education Teacher with IEP implementation.
• Supports students with disabilities in general education settings.
• Maintains confidentiality in compliance with FERPA.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning activities/work assignments for specialized programs.
• Assists the teacher in carrying out activities and assignments.
• Implements district program with fidelity for specialized programs.
• Implements services for individual students as outlined in the IEP.
• Follows lesson plans and engages with students per teacher guidance.
• Maintains accurate records of student progress and accommodations.
• Attends district professional development classes.
• Assists students with activities of daily living as needed.
• Establishes positive rapport with students, staff, and community.
