Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Mesa, AZ is seeking a part-time paraeducator to assist certified teachers and specialists in monitoring and instructing students with IEPs. You will help students with academic tasks, daily living activities, and healthcare-related needs under supervision.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, data collection on goals, and maintaining a safe learning environment. The position is 29 hours per week with a base hourly rate and annual performance pay; a ParaPro

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits required at time of hire or pass the ParaPro Test provided by the district free of charge.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom work and reinforce objectives under teacher direction.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining the classroom.
• Collect data on academic and behavior goals as instructed.
• Support students with daily living activities and health care tasks as needed.
• Assist with personal hygiene and mobility support for students with disabilities.
• Accompany students across campus and monitor groups to ensure a safe environment.
• Perform clerical tasks to support teachers and participate in meetings.
