The position requires a valid TASN paraprofessional license or 60 college credits with a paraprofessional exam; CPR training is highly desirable. Responsibilities include notes, behavior records, and field trips.

Qualifications

Paraprofessional license or 60 college hours with paraprofessional exam required.
Knowledge of characteristics of students with various disabilities and basic English/math skills.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions and maintain records.

Responsibilities

Assist Special Education teachers in reinforcing learning for students with disabilities.
Provide one-on-one tutoring to reinforce concepts.
Assist with personal hygiene tasks for students with severe disabilities.
Assist with positioning aids, wheelchairs, and other equipment as directed.
Help students with daily living skills for independence.
Accompany students on class trips and attend trainings.
