Qualifications

• Paraprofessional license from ISBE or equivalent credential.
• At least 60 college credit hours completed.
• Good knowledge of English grammar and spelling.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education teachers in reinforcing instructional efforts for students with disabilities.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring to reinforce learning concepts.
• Provide personal hygiene assistance for students with severe disabilities.
• Assist in feeding students unable to do so.
• Take notes in classrooms for students who cannot do so themselves.
• Attend class field trips with students and teachers.
