Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Case Manager to lead district-level oversight for students with disabilities under IDEA and Section 504. Responsibilities include coordinating evaluations, chairing IEP/504 conferences, and ensuring timely implementation of IEPs and data entry in the district systems.

The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s in special education (or admin) and an active PEL in SPED or SSP with supervisory endorsement, plus at least two years in special education.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in special education
• Expertise in special education curriculum and service provision
• Knowledge of MTSS/RTI and related services

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local district representative at required meetings under IDEA and as 504 Coordinator
• Chair IEP & 504 conferences and ensure timelines and proper documentation
• Arrange special education and related services per IEP, coordinate evaluations and data entry
• Provide training and support to school staff on IDEA and Section 504 requirements
• Ensure parent/guardian communications, language access, and proper placement decisions
