Job summary

Chicago Public Schools on the North/Northwest Side seeks a Case Manager to coordinate IEP/504 processes, serve as district representative, ensure timelines, and facilitate parental notices in the native language when feasible.

The role requires a BA or MA in special education or MEd in admin, a valid PEL in Special Education (PK–Age 21), and at least two years of related experience. CPS offers comprehensive benefits and support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education or Master’s in educational administration.
• Valid PEL in Special Education (PK–Age 21) endorsement or supervisory endorsement.
• Two or more years of experience in special education.
• Knowledge of IEP/504 processes, MTSS/RTI, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Serve as local school district representative at required meetings under IDEA and 504.
• Chair IEP and 504 conferences and ensure timelines.
• Coordinate referrals and evaluations and ensure data entry into SSM.
• Communicate with parents in the native language when feasible and provide notices.
