Job summary

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) seeks a Case Manager to coordinate special education services, lead IEP/504 processes, and ensure compliance with IDEA and Section 504. The role involves collaboration with principals, staff, families, and outside agencies to implement individualized education plans for students with disabilities.

The Case Manager will oversee data-driven service decisions, ensure timely communications, and support staff in delivering mandated supports within the least restrictive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education or a Master’s in educational administration.
• A valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education or supervisory endorsement.
• Two or more years of experience in special education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local school district representative at IDEA and 504 meetings.
• Fulfilling Roles & Responsibilities in the ODLSS Procedural Manual.
• Ensure timely IDEA and Section 504 timelines and parent communications.
• Coordinate referrals for FIE and related evaluations, including AT/FBAs.
• Chair IEP and 504 conferences and act as District Representative.
• Oversee implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans within the school.
