Job summary

Chicago Public Schools in Chicago is seeking a Case Manager to lead compliance with IDEA and Section 504, serving as the local district representative and 504 coordinator, ensuring timelines, notices, IEP/504 processes, and language access.

You will chair IEP/504 conferences, coordinate FIE referrals, manage data entry in SSM, arrange related services, and collaborate with principals to implement IEPs and MTSS, RTI. Requires a background in special education and a valid PEL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education or related field.
• Master’s degree in educational administration preferred.
• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education or School Support Personnel with supervisory endorsement.
• Two or more years of experience in special education.
• Knowledge of IDEA and Section 504 requirements and district procedures.
• Ability to manage IEP/504 processes and collaborate with families.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local school district representative at required meetings under the IDEA and as 504 Coordinator for Section 504 meetings.
• Chair and coordinate IEP and 504 conferences and ensure timelines and parental notices are met.
• Coordinate referrals for FIEs and arrange related services per IEP/504.
• Enter student data into SSM and ensure implementation of IEPs/504 Plans with MTSS/RTI.
• Collaborate with principals and staff to implement IEPs, monitor progress, and communicate with families.
