Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Assistant (Program) for Folwell Elementary in Minneapolis for the 2026-2027 school year. You will support students with disabilities, assist teachers with individualized plans, and help promote independence, inclusion and self-advocacy in classroom and community settings.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, up to two years of experience with children, and completion of required trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ParaPro assessment score 460 or higher required.
• Two years of paid experience working with children required.
• Equivalent education, training and experience as determined by HR.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to children with disabilities and assist teachers with individualized plans.
• Assist in maintaining safe, inclusive learning environments.
• Monitor student progress and maintain records of behavior and performance.
• Promote independence and social inclusion.
