Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires basic math, reading manuals, and following instructions.
• Knowledge of instructional procedures, age-appropriate activities, safety, and behavior stages.

Responsibilities

• Adapts activities and materials to include all students.
• Administers tests, homework, and records to assist teacher evaluation.
• Administers first aid and medical assistance as needed.
• Assists students with personal care needs due to medical or physical conditions.
• Attends meetings and trainings for job-related purposes.
• Confers with teachers/parents to report student progress and implement IEP objectives.
• Directs and implements behavioral plans for students with behavior disorders.
• Instructs students in activities to reinforce instructional goals and remediation plans.
• Maintains instructional materials and student files to ensure availability and reliability.
• Monitors students for safety across different school environments.
