Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs in San Jose, CA is seeking an Instructional Aide II to support students in grades K-12 within a dynamic Special Education team. You will implement individualized strategies, collaborate with teachers, and help foster student success in classroom and community settings.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP/ITP/PBIP-aligned activities, documenting progress, conducting data collection, assisting with job coaching, and ensuring safety and confidentiality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or a closely related field.
• CA Emergency 30 Day Sub Permit within 90 days of beginning employment.
• CA state driver’s license required or able to obtain.
• Certification in crisis management training required or ability to obtain.
• Minimum 3 years of experience instructing, guiding, or supporting children; experience in special education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized strategies and align activities with IEP/ITP/PBIP.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student progress.
• Document behaviors and progress, maintain confidentiality of records.
• Provide job coaching, vocational training, and community-based activities.
• Ensure classroom safety and compliance with policies and regulations.
