Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs in California seeks an Instructional Aide II to join our Special Education team, supporting students in Grades K-12 and helping teachers deliver individualized instruction in a nurturing, student-centered environment.

The role requires collaboration with staff, crisis management readiness, and willingness to transport or ride on Spectrum vehicles where needed, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or closely related field.
• CA Emergency 30 Day Sub Permit within 90 days of start date.
• Valid CA state driver’s license.
• Certification in crisis management training or ability to obtain.
• Willingness to drive a company van and transport students.
• ≥3 years' experience supporting children, preferably in special education or behavioral health contexts.
• Experience with learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized support to students in Grades K-12.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized strategies.
• Document student progress and maintain confidentiality of records.
• Provide crisis intervention and ensure student and staff safety.
