Job summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking an Instructional Aide to join our Special Education team in California. You will provide personalized support, supervision, and guidance to students in Grades K-12, working with classroom teachers to implement each student’s IEP.

You will help deliver individualized instruction, monitor progress, and contribute to behavioral interventions, documentation, and collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; basic skills test.
• Associate degree or higher preferred in education or related field.
• CA driver's license achievable/maintainable.
• Crisis management training certification preferred.
• Paraprofessional credential preferred.
• Prior experience with instruction, guidance, or support in special education.
• Experience with students with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, guidance and support to students in K-12.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement IEPs.
• Monitor student progress and behavior with documented records.
• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction and behavioral interventions.
• Maintain confidentiality and prepare behavioral reports and activity logs.
• Communicate with families, teachers, and administration about student needs.
• Assist with community, vocational, leisure, and social skills development.
• Contribute to accreditation and site performance activities.
