Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is seeking a part-time paraprofessional to assist a Special Education Teacher in implementing IEPs and specialized programs for students with disabilities. You will support students in general education curriculum on a continuum of services and maintain confidential records.

Responsibilities include following lesson plans, preparing instructional materials, and attending district professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• AA degree or 60 college credits or successful completion of Dysart approved exam.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning activities for specialized programs, preschool, and/or individual students.
• Assists the teacher in carrying out activities for students in specialized programs and/or individual students.
• Implements district program with fidelity for specialized programs.
• Implements services for students with IEPs as directed by supervising staff.
• Follows a lesson plan or guide created by the teacher.
• Maintains confidentiality under FERPA.
• Assists with classroom and behavior management.
• Keeps adequate, legible student records.
