Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is seeking a paraeducator to assist the Special Education Teacher with implementing Specialized Programs and the Individual Education Plan (IEP) for students with disabilities, and to support them in the general education curriculum on a continuum of services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; AA degree or 60 college credits preferred.
• Assist Special Education Teacher with IEP implementation and support students in general education curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning activities/work assignments for specialized programs and students.
• Assists the teacher in carrying out activities for students in specialized programs.
• Implements services for individual students as outlined in the IEP and directed by supervising staff.
• Follows lesson plans and maintains confidentiality under FERPA.
