Job summary

Dysart Unified School District seeks a Paraprofessional to assist the Special Education Teacher with implementing Specialized Programs and IEPs for students with disabilities. You will support students with disabilities in the general education curriculum on a continuum of services.

The role requires following teacher plans, maintaining confidentiality, and assisting with instructional materials, daily living activities, and behavior management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree or 60 college credits or successful completion of Dysart approved exam.
• First Aid/CPR certification (in-person) required.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in planning activities/work assignments for specialized programs and students.
• Assists the teacher in carrying out activities and assignments for students.
• Implements district program with fidelity for specialized programs.
• Implements services for students per IEP under supervision staff.
• Follows a lesson plan, chart or guide created by the teacher.
• Maintains FERPA confidentiality and records related to students.
• Assists with preparation of instructional materials and classroom management.
• Attends district professional development classes.
