Job summary

Dysart Unified School District seeks a paraeducator to assist the Special Education Teacher with implementing Specialized Programs and supporting students with IEPs across specialized programs and general education.

You will follow lesson plans, help prepare instructional materials, maintain confidentiality under FERPA, participate in district PD, and establish positive rapport with students and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; AA degree or 60 college credits may qualify.
• First Aid/CPR certification required; AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Knowledge of math, reading, writing, safety, confidentiality and records keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Education Teacher with implementing specialized programs and IEP services.
• Carry out activities for students, following lesson plans and teacher guidance.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper FERPA practices; prepare instructional materials.
