Job summary

Dysart Unified School District seeks a paraprofessional to assist the Special Education Teacher with IEP implementation and related instructional activities. You will help students with various disabilities within a continuum of services and support classroom routines and materials.

Responsibilities include following lesson plans, maintaining confidentiality, and assisting with daily living activities as required. This is a 0.875 FTE position with a typical school-day environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• AA degree or 60 college credits or approved Dysart exam.
• First Aid/CPR certification must be current.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Education Teacher with specialized programs and IEP tasks.
• Support students in general education curriculum on a continuum of services.
• Follow lesson plans and maintain confidential FERPA-compliant records.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom management.
• Attend district professional development classes and participate in Medicaid logs.
• Support students with activities of daily living as needed and maintain rapport.
