Job summary

Dysart Unified School District is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities and assist the classroom teacher in implementing IEP services and specialized programs.

You will help students in both specialized programs and general education, maintain student records, and contribute to a positive learning environment in a classroom setting. The role involves following lesson plans, collecting progress data, and collaborating with staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AA degree or 60 college credit hours or Dysart approved exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education Teacher with implementation of specialized programs and IEP services.
• Support students in general education curriculum across a continuum of services.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and district policy.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom management and routines.
• Attend district professional development and support Medicaid reimbursement activities.
