Job summary

Lewiston Public Schools is seeking Educational Technicians I–III to support the RISE / FLS / Day Treatment programs at Connors Elementary School. The role involves assisting in delivering services per each student’s IEP and PBSP, under daily supervision of a Special Education Teacher and Program Administrator.

The position requires 5-day work weeks, Monday through Friday, with hours varying by location. Compensation ranges from $20.86 to $28.12 per hour for full-time employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher with 60–90 college credits and Education Technician Certification through Maine DOE
• School-Based Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification
• TCIS training completed
• Available to work five days per week per district schedule
• Read and understand technical educational instructions and memos
• Present information effectively in 1:1, 1:2, and small-group settings

Responsibilities

• Facilitate 1:1, 1:2, and small-group instruction for complex learners.
• Support academic instruction, lunch, transitions, and transportation.
• RISE/FLS/DT Ed Tech accompanies students unless directed otherwise.
• Implement and follow each student’s IEP and PBSP.
• Use de-escalation strategies throughout the day.
• Prepare materials and set up classrooms for specialized instruction.
• Collect data and enter data into records.
• Maintain bulletin boards and displays as requested.
• Operate standard school equipment (computers, laminators, copiers, A/V).
• Follow each student’s daily schedule.
