Job summary

Lewiston Public Schools seeks a Special Education 1:1 BHP Ed Tech II/III at Connors Elementary School to support delivery of educational services per IEP and PBSP within the RISE/Day Treatment programs.

The role involves assisting with instruction, data collection, and PBSP/IEP implementation, collaborating with teachers and clinicians, and ensuring the day-to-day needs of students are met in a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Three years postsecondary education or 90 credit hours required.
• Education Technician III certification required by Maine DOE.
• School Based Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification required.
• Ability to work 1:1, 1:2 and small group instruction with complex learners.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education Teacher in delivering services per IEP/PBSP.
• Implement and follow IEP and PBSP and de-escalation strategies.
• Prepare materials and setup classroom for specialized instruction.
• Collect relevant data and perform data entry.
• Maintain displays and bulletin boards as requested.
• Follow day-to-day student schedules and safety protocols.
