Job summary

Lewiston Public Schools seeks an Education Technician to assist in delivering educational services per IEP and PBSP within RISE/Day Treatment programs. The role involves 1:1 and small group instruction, data collection, and materials preparation, while adhering to PBSP/IEP guidelines and maintaining a structured classroom environment.

Candidates should have three years of postsecondary education or 90 credit hours, plus Maine DOE Education Technician III certification and School Based BHP

Qualifications

  • Three years postsecondary education or 90 credit hours in related area.
  • Education Technician III certification required by Maine DOE.
  • School Based Behavioral Health Professional certification also required.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate 1:1, 1:2 and small group instruction to meet complex learners' needs.
  • Implement and follow IEP and PBSP; apply de-escalation strategies.
  • Assist with classroom setup, prepare materials, and data entry.
  • Assemble/hang materials on displays and keep bulletin boards current.
  • Operate standard school equipment and follow daily student schedules.
