Job summary

Lewiston Public Schools is seeking an Education Technician III to assist a Special Education Teacher in delivering services outlined in IEP and PBSP within RISE/Day Treatment programs. The role involves 1:1, 1:2 and small group instruction, implementing de-escalation strategies, data collection, and materials preparation.

Staff must follow IEP/PBSP, coordinate with the team, and ensure safety and respectful behavior throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• Three years postsecondary education or 90 credit hours in related area.
• Education Technician III certification required by Maine DOE.
• School Based Behavioral Health Professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, 1:2 and small group instructional support per IEP/PBSP.
• Assist with setup of classroom and materials for specialized instruction.
• Collect data and enter data for progress monitoring.
• Maintain safety and follow PBSP/IEP directives.
