Job summary

Lewiston Public Schools seeks an Education Technician III to assist in delivering educational services under IEP/PBSP within RISE/Day Treatment programs. The role involves close supervision of students and collaboration with Special Education staff.

Qualifications

• Three years postsecondary education and/or 90 credit hours in a related area; Education Technician III certification required by Maine DOE; BHP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate 1:1, 1:2 and small group instruction for complex learners throughout the day.
• Implement and follow an IEP and PBSP, including de-escalation strategies.
• Assist in classroom setup, prepare materials, and collect data for progress monitoring.
• Assist with displays, bulletin boards, and operate standard school equipment.
• Adhere to day-to-day schedule and maintain safety and professional conduct.

Education

90 credit hours / 3 years postsecondary education

Education Technician III certification (Maine DOE)

School Based Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification
