Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Special Care Aide (SCA) in Adrian, MI on a PRN, flexible schedule basis. You will be the first face clients see when services begin, delivering personal care and compassionate support in the home environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• High School Diploma or GED, as required by state regulations.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the service area.

Responsibilities

• Supporting new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Providing personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Preparing meals and assisting with daily living activities.
• Performing housekeeping and household support.
• Assisting with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and visit records.
• Providing coverage for open shifts, call-offs, and urgent staffing needs.
• Traveling throughout the assigned service area to support clients.
• Promoting Elara Caring's mission and commitment to quality care.
