Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Special Care Aide to serve clients at home and across the service area. You will be the first face clients see, supporting admissions and Start of Care visits while ensuring a positive experience and clear communication with the branch team.

As a Special Care Aide you’ll gain varied client exposure, develop leadership potential, and grow within the Personal Care Services group, with opportunities for advancement and continuing education benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required where state regulations apply.
• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, CNA or similar certification where required.
• Basic technology skills and comfort with mobile devices and electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Perform housekeeping and household support.
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain documentation and visit records.
• Provide coverage for open shifts and urgent staffing needs.
• Travel throughout the service area to support clients.
• Promote Elara Caring's mission and commitment to quality care.
