Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Special Care Aide (SCA) in Jackson, MI, PRN with a flexible schedule. You will be the first face clients see, helping create a positive start to services and coordinating with the branch team for a smooth care experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• High School Diploma or GED required by state regulations.
• Ability to use mobile devices and document care electronically.

Responsibilities

• Assist new clients with admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping and household tasks.
• Assist with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition; maintain visit records.
• Provide coverage for open shifts and urgent staffing needs.
• Travel throughout the assigned service area to support clients.
