Job summary

Elara Caring in Poplar Bluff, MO is hiring a Special Care Aide (SCA) on a PRN, flexible schedule basis. You will be the first face new clients see, helping create a positive first impression and coordinating with the branch team for a seamless care experience.

You will gain experience across multiple clients and service needs, with opportunities for leadership growth within Personal Care Services. Join a supportive team devoted to quality in-home care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; state regulations may apply.
• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• Certification as HHA, Personal Care Aide, Homemaker, CNA, MA, or similar as required by state.
• Proficient use of mobile devices and electronic documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; compassionate and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Support new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Perform housekeeping and household support.
• Assist with errands and transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
• Document visits accurately in records.
• Cover open shifts and urgent staffing requests.
• Travel within service area to support clients.
• Promote Elara Caring's mission and quality care.
