Job summary

Elara Caring in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Special Care Aide (SCA) to join our growing home health team. You will be the first face clients see when beginning services, ensuring a positive experience and clear communication with the branch team.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation assistance, and documenting visits. This role offers flexible scheduling, travel across the service area, and opportunities for professional growth within Elara Caring.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, as required by state regulations.
• Minimum six months of experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals.
• Certification such as Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide, Homemaker, CNA, MA, or similar where required.
• Basic technology skills and comfort using mobile devices, apps, and electronic documentation systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Lift at least 25 pounds and perform caregiving duties.

Responsibilities

• Supporting new client admissions and Start of Care visits.
• Providing personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Preparing meals and assisting with daily living activities.
• Performing housekeeping and household support.
• Assisting with errands and transportation when appropriate.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and visit records.
• Traveling throughout the assigned service area to support clients.
