Job summary

Busey Bank is seeking an experienced Special Assets Commercial Underwriter II to deliver precise underwriting for the Special Assets portfolio. You will analyze cash flow, liquidity, and leverage to gauge risk while preparing clear CCAR memos and coordinating with Relationship Managers.

Responsibilities include collateral evaluation, portfolio reviews, and assisting with workout processes. Requires 5+ years in commercial credits and 2+ years in underwriting, with strong communication and MS

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business or Finance.
5+ years of Commercial Credit experience.
2+ years of Commercial Underwriter experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Perform financial statement spreading and ratio calculations per Busey guidelines.
Use financial data (cash flow, liquidity, profitability, leverage) to assess risk.
Prepare CCAR memos with key borrower risk information.
Evaluate collateral, industry data and other credit information.
Assist portfolio management with covenants testing and reporting.
Maintain knowledge of Commercial Banking Loan Policy and ncino.
Assist in the workout process with Relationship Managers.
Participate in meetings about potential line transfers to Special Assets.
Handle other duties or special projects as assigned.
Demonstrate independent thinking in complex issues.
