Job summary

Busey Bank is seeking an experienced Special Assets Commercial Underwriter II to provide accurate, timely credit underwriting in support of portfolio management and new business development for assigned Relationship Managers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Business or Finance, 5+ years of commercial credit experience, and strong financial analysis skills. You will spread statements, assess risk, prepare CCAR memos, and help manage the loan portfolio.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business or Finance.
• Requires 5+ years of Commercial Credit experience.
• Requires 2+ years of Commercial Underwriter experience.

Responsibilities

• Financial statement spreading and analysis, including Debt Service Coverage/Fixed Charge Coverage ratios.
• Use financial data (cash flow, liquidity, profitability, leverage) to assess credit risk.
• Prepare Commercial Credit Approval Request memos with risk information for Relationship Managers.
