Job summary

S&ME's 2027 Spark Summer Internship is open to current students across a variety of educational backgrounds and focuses. You will work with experienced professionals in Civil, Environmental, Construction, Geotechnical, and Transportation Design-Build service lines in a 12-week May–August 2027 program in Indianapolis.

The internship offers hands-on experience, access to technical experts, and professional development to bridge campus to career.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a related degree program; Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred.
• Related experience and/or campus, community, work-related leadership experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Out of town travel may be required.
• For technical roles the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is required.
• Routine lifting may be required: 40 to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Learn and work alongside experienced professional and technical employee-owners within your area of interest.
• Be part of an intern cohort and learn about all aspects of S&ME.
• Gain invaluable hands-on experience and access to technical experts across the company.
