Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Houston, TX. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse donor events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results, under supervisor guidance for operations and medical issues.

This role requires a nursing license (LPN/LVN), CPR/AED certification, and a nursing program background, with prior clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and nursing program completion.
• Active LPN/LVN license or certification in the relevant state.
• Current CPR and AED certification; ability to perform basic IV therapy per state rules.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, AIDS education, and self-exclusion.
• Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results.
• Notify donors of unsuitable test results and coordinate follow-up.
• Operate under Center Manager guidance for operations and under Center Physician for medical issues.
• Support EHS guidance and participate in vaccination programs as applicable.
