Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Houston, TX is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

The role requires TX nursing licensure (LPN/LVN), CPR/AED, and experience in a clinical or hospital setting, with training aligned to BioLife and FDA requirements. Join a team focused on high-quality plasma collections.

Qualifications

• Must hold TX LPN/LVN license or certification.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and coordinate with Center Physician for emergencies or orders; arrange donor transport if needed.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and follow EHS guidance; act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
