Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Houston to determine donor eligibility, review lab results, and manage donor safety under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

The role requires nursing licensure (LPN/LVN), CPR/AED certification, and at least two years of clinical experience. Training includes FDA-approved BioLife programs, with responsibilities spanning EHS and donor care.

Qualifications

• State nursing licensure required in the state of responsibilities.
• Completion of FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and Center Physician guidance.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on unacceptable findings.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage occupational health incidents and coordinate with EHS when needed.
