Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support donor screening, safety and center operations in Houston, TX. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliant donor care.

The role requires active RN/NP/PA licensure in the applicable state, CPR and AED certification, and two years of clinical experience. FDA training and IV therapy qualifications are required as part of BioLife’s program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate of a recognized nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion.
• Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results.
• Provide donor notifications of unsuitable test results.
• Support center operations under supervision of Center Manager and Center Physician.
• Assist with vaccination programs and incident investigations as applicable.
