Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Texas seeks a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility and oversee donor safety, adverse events, and lab result reviews. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure compliant plasma collection operations and patient safety.

The role requires clinical experience and active licensure (EMT, LPN/LVN, or RN), CPR/AED certification, and IV therapy readiness, with duties including program support and incident management.

Qualifications

• Must hold active EMT, LPN/LVN, or RN licensure/certification as applicable.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, and testing review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and coordinate with medical staff for emergencies.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and escalation if needed.
• Participate as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and Medical Affairs.
