Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Houston, TX is seeking a part-time Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to ensure safe donor care and center operations.

You will assess donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and support vaccination programs and emergency procedures, reporting to the Center Manager and Center Physician as required. The role requires LPN/LVN licensure, CPR/AED certification, and hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; LPN/LVN licensure required in the state of practice.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Minimum two years in clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, education, medical history, examination and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer concerns to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed and support vaccination programs.
