Job summary

Tempus Unlimited, Inc. in Salem, MA is seeking a Community Skills Trainer for our Personal Care Attendant Program to educate consumers on managing consumer-directed hands-on care and to support the Skills training team across the region.

This full-time role requires travel within a 60-mile radius, a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, and a 2-day orientation in Stoughton. Training sessions in Stoughton last 2–3 weeks, with typical hours 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; GED or High School Diploma required.
• Experience providing services for people with disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of PCA programs beneficial.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office/Outlook and ability to navigate databases.
• Travel is required within assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Follow-up on assigned functional skills training in a timely manner.
• Assess consumers and/or surrogate ability to manage PCA services.
• Train consumers and/or surrogates the skills needed to manage their PCA program.
• Maintain confidentiality of consumer information.
• Attend in-service, supervision and staff development meetings.
• Complete and submit required documentation within timelines.
• Provide training and ongoing support for EVV.
