Job summary

Tempus Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a community-based Personal Care Management Skills Trainer for the Personal Care Attendant Program to educate consumers on managing consumer-directed hands-on care.

The trainer will also handle department-wide training tasks and will cover Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket area in MA, including over the bridge, with a 60-mile home cover radius. This is a full-time role with 35 hours/week, $21/hour, mileage reimbursement, and two-day orientation in Stoughton.

Qualifications

• Experience providing services for people with disabilities (preferred).
• Experience or education in teaching or counseling is helpful.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills.
• Travel is required within assigned service area; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on assigned functional skills training as determined by contract.
• Assess consumers and/or surrogate ability to manage PCA services.
• Train consumers and/or surrogates the skills needed to manage their PCA program as outlined in Mass Health Service Agreement and PCM Contract.
• Maintain confidentiality in all consumer related issues.
• Attend in-service, supervision and staff development meetings when requested by Supervisor or Manager.
• Provide training and ongoing support for EVV.
