Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking a Financial Navigator to complete insurance eligibility verification and support individualized financial counseling for patients.

Meetings will occur in the initial weeks of treatment to determine whether payment is made in full or a payment plan is established in line with policy. The role involves explaining treatment costs, coordinating insurance documentation, collecting payments, and assisting with financial resources to offset patient responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with patients.
• Comfortable discussing patient balances, financial responsibilities, and payment options with patients.
• Ability to explain insurance benefits and out-of-pocket costs clearly.
• Medical office or healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Meets with patients to explain cost of treatment, insurance coverage, and patient financial responsibility.
• Coordinates proper insurance verification information/documentation to estimate patient financial responsibility.
• Collects co-pays/deductibles from patients and helps establish payment plans.
• Outlines financial obligations and provides options to meet requirements, including financial assistance eligibility.
