Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a software engineering professional to develop and lead the simulation testbed for in-space systems. You will own planning, architectural design, requirements gathering, certification, and implementation for the simulation environment, reflecting scenarios with precise models and test scripts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, or related field required.
• 3+ years in aerospace software simulation testbeds.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with RTOS and embedded control systems.
• Familiar with UDP/TCP, I2C, UART protocols.
• Familiar with Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to release strategy, coordination, and documentation processes.
• Craft sophisticated and accurate simulation models that push boundaries.
• Work with external customers and internal engineering teams to develop customer-specific simulation requirements.
• Develop and execute tests on simulations to ensure robustness of models.
• Develop intricate test scripts for detailed integration and test events.
• Support hardware/software integration including anchoring simulations to hardware data.
• Up to 10-15% domestic travel required.
