Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced software verification engineer to define and execute verification plans for lunar and spaceflight software. You will collaborate with systems engineers, developers, and program managers to ensure robust verification across the vehicle and mission design teams.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of aerospace software experience, strong C/C++, and scripting skills, and the ability to advance safety-critical software processes and tests in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher degree in computer science, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8 years professional experience minimum.
• Experience developing test cases, procedures, and scripts for software verification.
• Experience in developing software requirements, verification plans, and test cases.
• Experience working across systems and software disciplines, leading cross functional groups.
• Experience with spacecraft design and operations.
• Experience with fault management design.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

• Work with systems engineers, developers, and program managers to define software verification and test plans.
• Lead team members on software verification best practices.
• Work with the Verification RE to help set direction and goals for the team regarding the development verification events, and test cases.
• Manage hardware-software integration problems and work across vehicle and mission design teams.
• Deeply understand the safety-critical software development process and ensure that software behavior is properly captured to ensure a safe mission.
