Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to drive development of software tooling for space-environment analysis and hardware prototyping. You will work across analysis and test tooling, with a focus on LabVIEW and Python-based demos, MBSE software, and high-quality software delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and adherence to safety and reliability standards, with experience in real-time systems and test automation highly valued.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering; other degrees considered if experience matches the responsibilities.
• 2+ years of software development experience for test systems (LabVIEW, Python) with OO design, test automation, and software component development.
• Experience designing simple hardware drivers for electronic test hardware and automation of build/test/deploy processes.

Responsibilities

• Define and update hardware integration test code for various test hardware components.
• Build on our common software architecture, writing new libraries and optimizing test code.
• Demonstrate hardware demos using LabVIEW and Python, enhance frameworks, and develop user interfaces.
• Lead use of test systems during tests at external facilities and ensure software quality.
• Maintain and advance proprietary MBSE software within the team.
