Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks an experienced mechanical/aerospace engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of spaceflight systems. You will guide CAD modeling, structural analysis, and root-cause investigations, ensuring safe, repeatable operations for our New Glenn program.

The role emphasizes production support, integration, and ensuring conformance with engineering specs. U.S. citizenship or equivalent is required for work authorization.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Recent experience managing aerospace mechanical systems elements within aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.
• Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D modeling tools.
• Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Ability to earn trust and contribute to an inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair structural, mechanical, and fluid systems hardware.
• Support production activities and tooling readiness.
• Lead root cause investigations into hardware failures.
• Release and support engineering artifacts across product life cycle.
• Direct modification of products to meet design and performance specs.
