Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of spaceflight systems. You will impact structures, mechanical, and fluid systems while ensuring safety and quality in every task.

You will apply your Creo and ANSYS expertise to support production, resolve issues, and drive root-cause investigations across launch vehicle hardware. A strong focus on collaboration and inclusion is essential.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
  • Recent experience managing aerospace or similar mechanical systems within aircraft/spacecraft/launch vehicles.
  • Strong mechanical design and 3D modeling skills with Creo or similar tools.
  • Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and fabrication/assembly processes.
  • Ability to build trust and work in a diverse, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Applies engineering methods to design, install, modify, analyze, repair structural, mechanical, and fluid systems hardware.
  • Strong emphasis on supporting production activities.
  • Lead in 3D CAD design and FEA analysis of pressurized and primary/secondary structures.
  • Release and support engineering artifacts through product life cycle for fabrication, assembly, verification, and test.
  • Lead Root Cause and corrective action investigations for hardware failures to enable production.
