Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Denver, CO is seeking a seasoned Materials & Process (M&P) Engineer to join the Lunar Transportation team. You will apply aerospace materials knowledge, lead corrosion prevention efforts, and work with cross‑functional teams to advance the Blue Moon program and safe human spaceflight.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering, 5+ years of M&P on production programs, familiarity with NASA standards, and the ability to travel to vendor sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Aerospace, Materials, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of M&P engineering on a production flight program.
  • In-depth NASA corrosion prevention knowledge and standards.
  • Experience with material data analysis standards (MMPDS, CMH-17, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Provide broad support for aerospace materials and processes (aluminum, steel, inconel, copper, composites).
  • Own corrosion prevention plan, requirements, and verification across vehicle systems.
  • Lead characterization and qualification efforts for corrosion-related studies.
  • Review production drawings and sign off on M&P release for parts/assemblies.
  • Coordinate internal/external M&P efforts, including supplier qualification and testing.
